How to talk like a Spanish person... with Spanish slang.
Hei! have you learned Spanish during last year? Do you feel prepared to meet Spanish people? Have you listened to Spanish movies and have understood half?
Don't worry, It's not that you have learnt a different language, is just that something is missing in your Spanish, and that is some slang!
If you read text like this:
¡Hola tío! ¿qué pasa? Me he comprado un carro nuevo para pasear a la piva que me he ligado este finde. He ido a una nueva disco que me mola mogollón. Mañana después de currar quedamos y hacemos unas birras en el nuevo garito muy chulo que han abierto al lado de mi casa.
Nos vemos tío. Un saludo.
Well if you didn't understand anything, don't worry it's not so difficult. Here you don't need Goggle because I can help you with them.
- Tío - (means something like "dude" "man"...)
- Carro - coche (car)
- Piva - chica (girl)
- Finde - fin de semana (weekend)
- Disco - discoteca (discothek)
- Me mola - me gusta (I like it)
- Mogollón - mucho (a lot)
- Currar - trabajar (to work)
- Birras - cervezas (beers)
- Garito - bar (bar)
- Chulo - Bonito. (something like cool)
So in a normal way the text should be something like this:
¡Hola! ¿qué tal? Me he comprado un coche nuevo para pasear a la chica que me he ligado este fin de semana. He ido a una nueva discoteca que me gusta mucho. Mañana después de trabajar quedamos y hacemos unas cervezas en un nuevo bar muy bonito que han abierto al lado de mi casa.

So, next time you see your teacher of Spanish or your Spanish friend tell them:
Hei tío, me mola mogollón estudiar español y quiero aprenderlo, pero también tengo que currar mogollón y el finde voy a ir a un garito muy chulo y después a una disco para tomar unas birras, si quieres venir.
