How to improve the efficiency of online Chinese teaching? Why is there no improvement after studying for a long time? I believe these issues must have been considered as parents, although I'm a full-time language teacher in Singapore, I've been faced with some challenges when the online lesson conducting.
I like to teach language by concept and inquiry, to engage students to voice up the knowledge they learn. Affected by the philosophy of IB teaching, I prefer to teach students Chinese from concepts and needs, starting with fun content and questions, such as dinosaurs, what do dinosaurs like to eat? Height of dinosaurs, how do dinosaurs walk? Why did dinosaurs become extinct? Each question will contain knowledge, concepts, and grammar. For example, the food that dinosaurs like to eat can be divided into meat and plants. After that could be expanding on what foods humans like to eat, and what tools we use to cooking. which is different from categorizing languages into four types: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, conceptual teaching methods will have some difficulties at the beginning, but once they are familiar with this model, students can learn more knowledge and conceptual thinking in Chinese.
For adult beginners, There are 15 basic Chinese lessons. Learn from what are Chinese characters, the composition of Chinese pinyin, common situational phrases in daily life, basic grammar, etc., and build the foundation of Chinese.
