I am Nigerian and British. I grew up speaking Igbo and loving our culture and worried that if major investments are not made to keep the Culture alive then it will become extinct. I currently live in London and can see the struggle of parents to achieve teaching their children the language. I started to teach out of passion. My first student is my daughter and we use the walk to school time to revise the language. She is getting confident to teach her friends and teachers any new word she learns. I have worked at various levels in the private and public sector but now focused on building a platform that promotes the African culture. My first task is to focus on my native language Igbo. I was born and raised in a beautiful Igbo town in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.Growing up,Igbo is the predominant language spoken in my town. Spending a lot of time with my parents and grandparents enriched me with the beautiful stories of the Igbo people and Igbo land. The quest to keep Igbo language and culture alive made me take it up as a course in the university and my love for Igbo language and culture made me develop a huge interest in teaching because I know that someone out there needs to learn this beautiful language and rich cultural heritage. I have been teaching Igbo language for over seven years and my unique teaching styles have endeared my students to me. I have taught learners of different ages and backgrounds both children and adults. I have prepared students for several Igbo language internal and external examinations and the results were splendid.
