Hello!
How are you? I'm Cathy and I live near Oxford, UK. I'm passionate about creating English lessons for you which help you achieve your best results in a fun way. We work together to improve your weaker language areas and you quickly become happy and confident in your English.
I am led by your requirements, whether you need to start as a beginner or prepare for a job interview or complex presentation. I am experienced in all areas, with specialisms in OET exam preparation for doctors /healthcare professionals and also in Business English.
As a CELTA qualified English teacher, my lessons offer great value for money, as they extend much further than the time we spend together. I use a combination of videos; topical news articles; text book reviews; listening websites; games and puzzles. These great resources support you, not only during our lessons, but afterwards too.
Enjoy each lesson, which is designed just for you, and in no time, your speaking; reading; grammar; listening and writing skills will improve.
If you have time and like to continue studying further between our lessons, I help students choose which films/dramas to watch in English, or the best UK radio stations to listen to. Of course, there is a world of literature out there too if books are your thing.
I am privileged to have taught students from over 50 countries in language schools and mainstream schools both here in UK and abroad.

I couldn't recommend enough Cathy for OET, even though I have a little time for extra preparation, she went above and beyond to make sure that I was fully prepared to take the exam. Also, she dissected every part of the OET exam giving me not just the preparation but tips to do it better, great materials, lots of practice and she worked on my tone and pronunciation for the speaking part. Also, she was flexible with the schedule, appreciated this. Thanks, Cathy

Cathy is a very smart teacher, she knows how to structure her lessons to suit your level. She's really perfect for advanced students. In addition, she's very interesting, lovely, and the student will never get bored. I'll always recommend her, and personally I'd keep working with her to fix and level up my English level.
