I am from Taiwan. I've been teaching Mandarin for more than 4 years now. I just graduated from University of Nottingham MA Teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages last year.
Before going back to Uni to pursue my master's degree. I primarily worked in hospitality and social media marketing industries in Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Australia, China and UK. I enjoy traveling, experiencing different culture, cooking and working out.
As a language learner myself, I definitely know the struggles and difficulties of learning from a text book. Using what is learnt in daily conversation is totally different. But I also know the joyful feeling when you finally achieve your goal in language learning!

My lessons with Eva are always enjoyable and educational. Whenever we have a lesson, she is always punctual and prepared with a lesson plan. As we go through the lesson, she clearly explains all of the new concepts and takes time to review anything that confuses me. I always appreciate when Eva writes new vocabulary and sentence structures in the chat – that way I can go back and review our conversations. At the end of the lesson, she prepares a small homework assignment so I can practice writing characters. One of the best parts about lessons with Eva is her positive, encouraging attitude, so I always look forward to our time together.
I had a little experience with Mandarin when I started, but I knew very little vocabulary and grammar. My ability to read, write, speak, and understand Mandarin has greatly improved since then, and Eva’s lessons are a huge reason why. I would recommend Eva to anyone who wants a well-rounded and fun Mandarin tutor!
