Hi, everyone. I’m glad to meet you on verbling. I’m from Beijing. As a native Chinese speaker, I’m willing to help you learn Chinese the way you like.I have a degree in English Language Education and German Language and Literature from Korea University South Korea. I have over 8 years of experience teaching English, Korean, and Mandarin with satisfactory results. I have experience teaching students from different countries, treating each individual according to their different personalities. I will use different ways to help you learn Chinese. The most difficult thing for me to learn a new language is to have the courage to start. I believe learning language start with having interest. The learning process will be easier and more interesting once you have insterest. I hope we can learn together, share the cultures of our backgrounds, and learn Chinese with ease.

** Class Policy **
I will wait for my students for 20 minutes (10 minutes for the trial lesson). If the student doesn't show up in the first 20 minutes, the class ends and will be marked as finished.

Poppy is so patient and supportive. She gives a lot of help with pronunciation, and has excellent materials in each class. I really feel like I have improved in my understanding of Mandarin, and in my ability to build sentences since starting classes with her.

Du Jing is a dedicated teacher who tailors the lesson for the student. I love learning through her dynamic and fun lessons. Furthermore, I recommend Du Jing because she cares for the student's learning progress rather than the monetary benefit. I am happy to be her student, and I am sure you will be happy as well.

Poppy was able to adapt to my level ~B2 and help me with what I needed: real life conversation (with explanations whenever i'd tap out). She managed to make interesting/advanced subjects accessible (psychology, culture, politics...) given my limited vocabulary. I appreciate her open mindedness when it comes to those as well. Thanks for the classes, Poppy, and looking fwd to many more!
