I am a certified Korean teacher with a master's degree in Teaching Korean to Speakers of Other Languages and a national license to teach Korean.
I have taught Korean to numerous international students at a private language institute in Seoul. This experience was so rewarding that it inspired me to connect with even more students through an online platform.
I have observed many students struggling with language learning because they lose sight of their goals and motivations. As your teacher, I provide regular feedback and customized lesson plans to ensure you stay on track and motivated. I can proudly say that my students who had a clear purpose of achieving, such as Korean language test(TOPIK) or a certain Korean level for their work(ILR test)/school(Graduate Thesis) accomplished their goal with me.
My classes are tailored to each learner's interests and goals, focusing on practical and realistic language use, always with a touch of humor. I believe it's almost illegal to conduct boring lessons as a teacher, so I do my best to be a nice person.

Sugyeong is an absolutely incredible teacher! I have been a student of hers for 8 months now. I started as an absolute beginner, with no experience with Korean or any language besides English. I’ve had over 60 lessons now, and she starts every lesson with energy, excitement, positivity, and a big smile! Her lessons are well thought out, organized, and very high quality. She uses many different learning strategies and teaching methods. The wide variety keeps the material fresh and interesting! She really goes the extra mile for her students, and tailors my learning experience based on my goals and interests. She is incredibly patient, and I can tell she genuinely cares about my learning experience. She actively tailors the lessons to my individual needs, and she has amazing attention to detail. Sugyeong is an incredible teacher, and I highly recommend her. Learning a language is no easy task, but in my 60+ lessons with Sugyeong I have always felt encouraged and excited to learn more! If you are looking for an extremely high quality teacher, that truly makes the learning experience fun and rewarding, then look no further than Sugyeong! I am a Masters Computer Science student in California, and I have had many teachers in my time, and Sugyeong 선생님 is absolutely one of the best!

I am really happy with 수경 선갱님, she is always motivated and teaches very well. I have been her student for about 4 months and I have learned a lot. She's also very cheerful and I always look forward to the next lesson.

Sugyeong is an amazing teacher for my 12 year old daughter. She is encouraging, positive, enthusiastic, and also serious about learning. My daughter has learned so much and looks forward to each lesson. I wish that my daughter’s teachers at school had as much energy and positivity as Sugyeong does.
