My name is Maísa Costa. I am from Salvador-Bahia, Brazil where I started my teaching career eight years ago with my master’s degree in Linguistics. I have taught Portuguese to foreigners from Costa Rica, Chile and well as many others.
My class is customized to the fit the needs of each student, from beginner level to the most advanced level, I can assist you with; Preparation for Celpe-Bras test, conversational exchange, grammar, business dialogue, job interviews, and other needs that you may have to help you reach your goals by means of my interpersonal communication, intercultural online class sessions without having to leave your home.

Tenho mestrado em Língua e Cultura pela Universidade Federal da Bahia, Eu já lecionei aulas de português para estrangeiros em Costa Rica e no Chile países onde eu já morei. Atualmente, foco em ensinar aulas online.
Minhas aulas são personalizadas conforme as necessidades de cada aluno. Eu ensino português português para alunos do básico até os alunos do nível avançado. Posso ajudá-los com aulas de conversação, gramática, entrevista de emprego, preparação para o Celpe-Bras.

Maísa is a great teacher. She is very enthusiastic, passionate, explains things well and has a wealth of knowledge about cultural differences between Brazilian and other cultures. Recommended! *****

Maísa is very well prepared for the lessons. I highly recommend her. Some teachers aren't good with advanced students, but she is great at giving materials that highlight the need to revisit some concepts about grammar while improving skills such as writing and speaking. Muito obrigada!

My lesson with Maísa was awesome! She goes above and beyond with resources, explanations, and cultural exchange! She took extra time to explain any questions I have with patience. She knows so much about Portuguese and her knowledge with Spanish and linguistics really helps too! I feel like I learned so much with Maísa in just one lesson so far and I am excited to take more! Thank you! Highly recommended.
