Hola! I am spanish teacher from Peru and formed in beautiful Sweden. I have lived most of my life in Spain. When you book an hour with me you get more than that. I send you follow up mail with exercises created for you to remember and consolidate the new knowledge you acquired during the hour we talked. Together with that I send some personalized information to immerse you at least for that moment in the vast cultural world of all the Spanish-speaking countries.
I have experience teaching in Swedish schools as well as experience privately tutoring adults in person. I have been teaching online since 2017.
My main focus lies on creating the best conditions for my students to feel safe when they speak Spanish, and to offer the opportunities to constantly refresh the acquired knowledge. Out of personal experience I know that this works best – it has also proven itself an effective method for my students. I am myself a lifelong learner who has lived in five different countries, and I have acquired proficiency in English (C1 level certificate) and in Swedish (in one and a half year I passed from a B1 level to a C1 level and granted my access to the Swedish university, being my first degree in Computer Science from a Spanish University). So I know what learning a language is all about, and I am proud to say that I have very creative teaching methods :)
I will for example record conversations with my students (only with your prior consent of course!), so that students can hear and see for themselves which are the biggest areas of improvement. I have found that allowing the student to go through his/her writings and the recordings of our conversations, is a very effective and powerful learning method. I also consider it of great importance to focus on correcting only those mistakes that will produce the greatest improvement in my student's current level. I will not overwhelm you with all the possible things that can be improved – instead we proceed step by step, at your own pace but surely and steadily.
I highly value your time and your money. I will do my best to make our time together count as much as possible, and I will constantly focus on your needs. In order to achieve that goal, I will appreciate and take into account your input and feedback.

Javier is a great teacher! He speaks clearly, explains things well and has a wealth of material which he offers based on the student's interests and abilities.He is always on time and prepared. It is never boring! I have made phenomenal progress in the last few months as I am always motivated. Highly recommend, but don't get so busy that I miss my lessons!
