Hello, my name is Anthea, and I work exclusively with people who are preparing for OET.
If that is you, book a trial lesson, and we can discuss your needs and concerns. That way, you can be sure I'm the right person to help you...before you invest time and money in your learning.

I am Australian, but I currently live in Penang, Malaysia.
I work exclusively with people preparing for OET or needing to prepare for healthcare interviews.
I do not work weekends.
I am a preparation provider for OET and have over five years of experience helping healthcare professionals become proficient and confident in English. I can help you prepare for the OET or converse confidently with colleagues, patients, or within social groups.
I am a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of clinical experience and a deep understanding of the healthcare and wellness industry.
My clinical experience has been in
* Emergency
* Health Management
* Mental Health
*Drug and Alcohol
* Justice Health
* GP practices.
I understand the particular difficulties health care professionals face and the skill sets required to not only be effective but thrive as a clinician. Helping people traverse these difficulties has been my focus for the past 28 years.

* The lessons will involve activities that are practical, relevant and focused on your goals.
You are not just "another student" to me. As we work together to build your English competency and fluency, we will get to know each other. The lessons will be relevant and focused on your needs.

- Confidence building.
I use supplementary materials and resources. Some examples include YouTube, podcasts, and homework on relevant topics. It all depends on your needs.

Before the trial lesson Please send me your scores from an official OET sample test you have completed. This will include sending me a letter. I will mark and give feedback during the lesson.
If you do not attempt a sample test prior to the lesson, we will discuss your perceived problem areas in the four skills being assessed.
If time allows, we will attempt a quick roleplay for you to understand the structure of the speaking exam and allow me to assess your spoken English.

Anthea is an outstanding teacher. She helped me to improve my OET score in 100 points in Writing and 80 points in Speaking, which had led me to reach the score that I wanted and needed.

Anthea is a great teacher, she helped me achieve the OET score I needed in order to get full registration with a license to practice with the general medical council in the UK. The lessons were fantastic and she was really supportive!
